A warm welcome is the first experience for guests at this 19th century home; built in
1820, Strawberry Hill Farm is a Federal farmhouse on 120 acres of woods and fields, with
open views over hills and meadows. This bed and breakfast is well known for its quiet,
tranquil setting only three miles south of Cooperstown, with lovely open views to hills
and meadows.
Guests can enjoy the country gardens or relax in the guest living room and library, or
walk the trails to the secluded trout stream. The house is furnished in English country
style and the accommodation comprises two comfortable bedrooms with Queen size beds, one
with a four poster canopy, and each with private bath and cable TV. Ample private parking
is available.
Anyone allergic to animals should be aware that a dog and cat reside in the house,
although they are excluded from the bedrooms.
Breakfast is a deluxe Continental served between 8:00 and 9:00 am in the elegant guest
dining room, and consists of local fresh berries, jams, home made muffins, cereals,
coffee, tea and juice. Children over 12 years of age are welcome, but we cannot
accommodate pets. We are happy to advise you on the local tourist attractions, and will
book dinner for you at any one of the excellent local restaurants, with one of the best in
the area being only half a mile down the road.
Rates are $75 - $85 per night and subject to 7% state tax and 2% local bed
tax. Checks are accepted, and a one night deposit is required in advance. Cancellations
must be made at least one week before scheduled arrival.
Strawberry Hill Farm is open from May to October. For reservations, please call
or write.
