Cooperstown is located in central New York State, 70 miles west of Albany and 30 miles south of the New York State Thruway.

From the west or north, use New York State Thruway Exit 30 at Herkimer; continue south on Rte. 28 to Cooperstown.

From the east, north or south, use Thruway Exit 25A; take I-88 to Duanesburg; proceed west on Rte. 20 to Rte. 80; then south on 80 to Cooperstown.

From the southwest, use exit 17 on I-88; continue north on Rte. 28 to Cooperstown.
