November 16 Winter Photography Exhibition: Deadline for Entries Members of the New York State Historical Association are invited to submit their work for inclusion in this special exhibition. Submit up to three black- and-white or color prints of any size of a winter-related subject or scene. Entries must be framed and ready to hang, delivered in person or shipped to the Registrar, Fenimore House Museum, Lake Road, Cooperstown. Please include the title of the work, the photographer's name, and the insurance value. Notice of acceptance will be sent by December 1. Return of images, the week of January 4-8, 1999, is the responsibility of the lender. The exhibition opening is at the Members' Holiday Reception, December 6. Antiques Show The New York State Historical Association has been chosen to
present the featured exhibition at the prestigious Winter Antiques Show in New York City
in January. NYSHA will be organizing a trip for members and guests to attend the Show and
view the exhibition, which features the finest pieces from

February 14 Sleigh Rally Dash through the snow in onehorse open sleighs. Music, hot refreshments, and indoor entertainment round out this fun-filled day. Noon to 4:00 P.M. The Farmers' Museum.
Sundays in March -- Sugaring Off Celebrate the end of winter with events that feature the traditions of the maple sugar industry. 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Start the day with a delicious pancake breakfast, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The Farmers' Museum. Call for details: (607) 547-1450.

Exhibitions at The Farmers' Museum
Exhibits include the ten historic buildings of the Village Crossroads and the Lippitt Farmstead. Along with the Broommaker's Shop & Woodworker's Shop in the Main Barn, enjoy these exhibits:
Daily programs complementing ongoing informal presentations include Broom Making and Cow Milking (3:30 pm). Weekend offerings include Brick Oven Baking, Farm Interpretations, and Healing Medicines. The Druggist's garden will feature an exciting array of period botanical specimens. A limited quantity of seeds and plants will be available for sale at The Druggist's Shop.
